My name is David Amsden, I am now 63 years old and have a great set of teeth. Dr. Jeff Borgman has been my personal dentist for the past four years. When I first came to Dr. Borgman I knew I needed some serious dental work, because I had not been to a dentist in several years. I had a couple of broken and missing fillings, a old broken crown and several teeth with hairline cracks and one molar with a piece missing. Dr. Borgman and his staff did a very in-depth evaluation and explained in detail all the concerns and options available to me. After the evaluation, I was able to make an informed decision on a course of action. We set up a plan to do 13 crowns over a period of time. It allowed me to have all the work performed, conveniently, and on my schedule. All the work was done with minimum discomfort. Dr. Borgman truly understands how to prevent any unnecessary discomfort. Once I finished with the restoration program, I decided I wanted to straighten a couple of slightly crooked teeth that I have lived with my whole life. Dr. Borgman again established an orthodontic program without having to go with long term braces. Within several months my teeth looked like new and were straight for the first time in my life. I highly recommend Dr. Borgman, because I know he is a highly trained and skilled dentist and understands the needs of his patients.

I was looking for a dentist who would have my best interest at heart, who is honest, and who’s primary concern was my dental hygiene. I also wanted a plan to get where I wanted to be without any surprises.
I found him where I started going to Dr. Jeff Borgman. He put together a long-term plan in writing to accomplish healthy teeth and gums and a beautiful smile. He explained every step of the way and each milestone to get there. He worked with my insurance company and communicated in detail all charges upfront. His staff’s primary concern is for you to be relaxed, understand the procedure, answer questions and you don’t feel pressed for time. When I first visited his office on a referral from a friend, I thought I had the wrong office since the atmosphere does not feel nor look like a dentist office. Their office is relaxed, warm, inviting and very comfortable. It’s difficult now a days to find a good and honest dentist that you can trust and not fear your visits. His office offers late hours to accommodate your working schedule which takes stress out of missing work. Now seeing my dental results and continuing to see him regularly, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to make that initial appointment and trust him as my dentist! Dr. Borgman has been my dental care provider since moving to the Dallas metroplex 17 yrs ago. He and his office have been courteous, professional, and most of all, gentle since day one.
As in many cases, I was introduced to Dr. Borgman and his clinic via a friend. This form of referral is better than any advertisement that can be put in a paper or magazine, and in kind, I have also encouraged many of my friends and associates to use Las Colinas Dental Care.

Dr. Borgman provided me with dentistry that I literally waited a lifetime to receive:
As a child I received a blow to the mouth that nearly knocked out and later killed my two front teeth. The only thing that saved them were my existing braces which held them in place and allowed them to heal. The dentist at the time ended up doing a root canal and would regularly bleach from the inside and later did thin veneer patches that eventually would no longer hold. Over time, they gradually darkened to a noticeable and unsightly dark brown. As unsightly as they were, my pickiness and fear kept me from potential treatment as I was not happy with the majority of options I saw in real life nor the media. Years later, I was ready to take action and consulted my existing dentist. After spending a couple of hours in preparation, he was beaming at his accomplishment. When he handed me the mirror, I blurted out spontaneously, "Is that what they're going to look like?" There was at least a difference of a nickel's thickness between his work and my existing teeth and the color was completely opaque. Not only did it jut out, it looked like a plastic horse-tooth. The next week I received a letter stating that he no longer felt comfortable having me as a client. Years went by when I received an unsolicited phone call from a trusted friend: "I think I found you a dentist." She had been a dental tech for some years, knew what to look for in a dentist, had great attention to detail as well as also being very picky about her health, teeth and doctors in general. She had just received her temporary crown at this point and said if he is as good as I am thinking based on what I have seen so far . . . . As a testament to Dr. Borgman's work, I could not pick out the tooth he had repaired. I was finally ready to move forward, and rightly so, as even the temporary crowns from Dr. Borgman looked better than any finished dental work I had previously seen anywhere. I instantly started smiling twice as big as I had been. The process was amazing as well as the final product. The teeth were laser scanned, computer machined and crafted, and then multiple layers were hand painted, leaving a tooth that was realistically translucent with the naturally occurring ridges and irregularities found in real teeth. In fact, the day after receiving my final crowns, I was invited to a friends’ family gathering. I noticed a young lady repeatedly staring at me and looking away. Later in the dinner she said, "You have the prettiest teeth!" For a couple of years thereafter, when bragging of Dr. Borgman's work to people that asked if I knew of a good dentist, I would often ask them to pick which "one" of my teeth was the crown. So far none have been able to!
My children have been patients of Dr. Jeff Borgman for several years, and both received orthodontics care from him. Dr. Borgman is a very smart, talented and creative person. He does an excellent job, and both my kids teeth and smiles look fantastic! We also like his staff, who are friendly and conscientious about their work responsibilities. Dr. Jeff Borgman was referred to me in 2007 when I moved to Dallas. I’ve been seeing him ever since and so grateful that I found him! At the time, I knew I needed some dental work done because I managed to break one of my molars. After my initial visit with Dr. Borgman, I learned that I had cracks in several of my other molars and it was only a matter of time before I broke those teeth as well. Dr. Borgman was surprised to learn from me that I’ve never been told my teeth show evidence of grinding and we determined that I do it while I sleep at night. He told me that I needed to get all of my cracked teeth fixed, but after we fixed them, he could help me protect my teeth from any further damage caused by my night grinding.
I ended up needing some extensive work done on my cracked teeth due to the damage caused by my grinding, but Dr. Borgman enabled me to protect my investment by fitting me for a bite guard to wear at night while I’m asleep. I wear it religiously and haven’t needed any work done on my teeth since!
I can’t tell you how disappointing it was to realize that the damage could have been prevented if my previous dentist(s) would have alerted me about the grinding or would have given me a simple bite guard to wear to at night. Unfortunately, the more damaged my teeth, the more money they make. I suppose that’s one of the reasons why Dr. Borgman is different. He truly cares about the health of his patients’ teeth and makes decisions based on the best interests of his patients. I had to learn that the hard way, which is why I am writing this testimonial, so those who are reading this won’t have to.
And also, on the interpersonal side, Dr. Borgman has a wonderful bedside manner. He gets along extremely well with his staff at all levels within his practice. He is highly respected, both as a person and professional, by colleagues, staff and patients alike.

My name is Scot Cloud and I make my living as a guitar player. I've known Dr. Borgman for twenty years and in that time have come to know him both as a friend and trusted professional when it comes to my dental care.
He has ALWAYS been there for me if an emergency has happened. The night before I was taking a trip to San Francisco I accidentally broke a temporary crown. The next day before my flight he worked me into the schedule and fixed it.
Dr. Borgman is also great with kids. My four year old had cracked his left front incisor and we took him in to see Jeff. He made my son feel comfortable about what was going on with his humor and kind nature. He had to deaden and then pull the tooth. Pretty tough stuff for a four year old. My son got visibly upset only once during the deadening shot. Dr. Borgman kept him calm and did the job quickly and almost entirely pain-free.

He is extremely thorough, I feel confident that he will do whats in my best interest, and has referred me at times to others where it's a situation that is out of his realm. From the time I was a very small child, I've needed massive amounts of dental work. Something about the type of saliva that I have promotes decay. At least that's what I was told. I suffered extreme pain and discomfort in the dental chair and developed a phobia of dentists that was so bad that, as an adult, I went for more than 10 years without stepping foot in a dentist's office. Obviously, with my history of poor oral health, that was a stupid decision on my part. Then, I was introduced to Dr. Borgman. He and his staff are sincerely so caring, they go out of their way to make my experiences as pleasant as possible. Let's face it, sometimes dental procedures are uncomfortable, but with a great deal of patience, Dr. Borgman takes the time to explain the procedure and gently provides the care needed. I always feel in control of my care, whether I'm in the chair or during the consultation and planning stage. Everything is explained in detail and all my questions are answered. One of the great things about Dr. Borgman is his perfectionism and his eye for aesthetics. He doesn't just care about your oral health, he cares about your appearance. He does beautiful work. Over the years, I've had to visit other doctors (endodontists and periodontists) and without fail, they have all complimented me on my smile and commented about the outstanding work that my dentist has done. I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you for successfully completing my braces and veneers. The year before coming to you for a consultation, my
TMJ was bad enough that I consulted with an oral surgeon. He explained that a series of surgeries would need to take place because my lower set of teeth were much wider than the upper. After the surgeries, I would go on to have braces to fill in the gaps created. The whole thing sounded very painful, and he gave the procedures an 80% chance of being successful. I decided to live with the discomfort instead of proceeding with the surgeries.
During the following months, the pain in my jaw increased. I woke every morning with a lot of pain in my jaw, and I had to pop it back into place. At times, my jaw would pop with every bite during eating. I visited you for a consultation at that point. You said that you were fairly confident you could achieve the same results as the oral surgeon without surgery, using expanders, rubber bands, and braces. The pain was bad enough, so I decided to give it a try. The whole process took a couple of years, but my TMJ is now completely gone. I have no popping and cracking in my jaw, and the added bonus is that my teeth, which were extremely crooked, are now beautiful. It feels great to smile with confidence!
